"They changed their mind"
After a final try with customer support, I got lucky. They refunded the minor price difference and swapped out the faulty bag for free. It really shouldn’t have taken three tries, but hey, props to them for eventually making it right.

"eBags Delivered Promptly & Just What I Needed"
I got the eBag Professional Weekender backpack, and it showed up faster than I thought it would. I'm really satisfied with it, so I went ahead and ordered the Professional Slim laptop backpack for daily use, and I'm happy with that one too. It came in quicker than I anticipated. I've had nothing but great experiences with eBags.
